WHERE DOES ALL THE MONEY GO?

At the Portage Brewfest, your beer & tacos are on a mission.  Two of our city's largest non-profits rely on the charitable financial support from the people who live and work in and around Portage in order to fund their joint cause: to strengthen our community.  The Portage Township YMCA and the Greater Portage Chamber of Commerce equally benefit from the event's proceeds.

That means that after the event expenses are recouped, 100% of the money you spend at the Portage Brewfest & Taco Test stays in Portage!

Volunteers and some staff from both organizations donate their time and talent to plan and execute this huge undertaking.  The volunteers are not compensated in any fashion and even have to buy their own event tickets just like the rest of you.  We're lucky to have access this great bunch of workers who are passionate about the organizations' missions and their impact in our community.  

 

Their only motivation is to raise money for the Portage YMCA's Annual Campaign which is a pool of donated funds used to provide financial assistance to anyone who cannot afford to participate in the Y's programs that build a healthy mind, body, and spirit.  These programs result in a stronger individual, family, and community.

When you buy a ticket, enter the raffle, and bid on silent auction items, you're furthering the Y's and Chamber's cause and helping more people than you will ever fully realize.  Thank you!
